EQtainment Party for Kids and Parents

Tonight, I had the opportunity to introduce an amazing group of products to family and friends. We were having a birthday party anyway so I incorporated the items in with the party!
Tryazon sent me this kit that included:
A plush Q-time monkey: https://www.amazon.com/gp/review/R3PHUZE8NYX5XA?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl

Game Board: https://www.amazon.com/gp/review/R1ZX96ALSUCG6K?ref_=glimp_1rv_cl

Travel Cards with tin

Coloring Book

Reading Book with CD

I have never heard of this until it came so I was excited to try it out. My daughter immediately wanted the plush Q-time monkey. We talked about it being a good way to calm down as suggested on the box. She wanted to try it as a calming tool for her. We also talked about how you can sleep with it for comfort too.
The coloring book is going to be fun to talk with the kids as they color and the book includes a CD so they can listen to the story. This whole set deals with skills like social, emotional and physical. My kids often show emotions too well and this is going to help them deal with certain areas.

The board game was a huge success! The kids, and parents, loved it! I love how easy it is to play and set up. The kids draw a card based on the color they land on. It my include a physical challenge like jumping jacks or a problem like "If two adults are talking, what is a polite way to asking a question" or "How would you handle...". It made the kids think! My 11 year old, who is headed to middle school, had questions that she will deal with there and we were able to talk about them. I can say, it was fun for the kids and great to open discussions with the kids. My 4 year old even enjoyed it!

Easy Father's Day Craft With CFA Containers

I was given the challenge to reuse salad containers from my favorite place, Chick-fil-a. Before using the containers, I had to enjoy the new Southwest Spicy Chicken Salad! It is so good. It has spicy chicken, corn, black beans, and other delicious vegetables. Add the Salsa dressing and tortilla strips and you have one amazing salad. It reminded me of a chicken taco salad that I make at home.
Once I finished my fantastic salad, I took the containers home and washed them out. I had an idea of what to make but still had to think of colors and such. I wanted to make a Father's Day gift for the kids to give to their Daddy and also something with a beach theme.

As you can see, I chose a blue color to paint the containers. I simply sprayed them, including the lids, and let them set out to dry in the sun.

Once dried. I found the pictures I wanted to use. First, I found a black and white picture of the kids at the beach and one of the kids together. I cute each picture and glued them in the center of the containers. Just put the lids to the side, that comes later.
Next, I added sand from Ocean Isle, NC beach. This is our favorite beach and the only one my kids know. I wanted to make a special keepsake to remind us of our beach travels. I put glue in the container and sprinkled some sand on top and let it dry overnight.

I then added shells that we collect every year using hot glue. I chose ones that are special to us. I added some Scrabble letters that I had on hand to spell OCEAN ISLE. Here is the finished project! I LOVE IT!

FATHER'S DAY is coming fast..... Are you ready? Here are two easy and quick crafts that I came up with using the Chick-fil-a containers. They are guaranteed to make any Dad smile!

This catch-all tray is so simple. First, I took some duct tape I had laying around and put it over the center of the lid. Then, I took a favorite photo of the kids that my husband loves and glued it to the center of the lid. I covered it with clear contact paper and added DAD in Scrabble tiles. Everything was found at the house. He can then use this to hold his wallet, keys, etc when he comes home everyday.
The other lid was made into a photo frame. I just added the Scrabble tiles and will add a favorite photo of the kids with my husband later.

The last gift I made was the kid's favorite and I think my husband will really find it to be a special gift. I used old refrigerator magnets to spell out DAD and hot glued them to the bottom. I added the age of the kids too. The kids and I talked about what items we should glue to the shadow box for Daddy. They each chose a special toy among other items for me to hot glue around the edges.
Here are the items and reasons:
1. Car and Pony - "Daddy plays cars and ponies with us"
2. Cross - "Daddy tells me about Jesus"
3. Bandaid - "Daddy fixes my boo-boos"
4. Crayons - "Daddy loves to color with me"
5. Fish - "Daddy takes me to the beach"
6. Money - "Daddy buys to stuff"
7. Screws - "Daddy fixes stuff for me"
8. Puzzle Pieces - "We love Daddy to pieces!"
* I added stickers that remind me of my husband. They say HOPE, LOVE, FAITH, etc.

Here is where the finished projects will be once the kids give them to him on Father's Day. It was so much fun to reuse the containers.

Thank you Chick-fil-a!! *I received a free coupon for the salad and was given the challenge through Chick-fil-a Mom's Panel. *

New Dial Baby Review

I recently had the pleasure of reviewing the Dial Baby Body + Hair Wash and Foaming Hand Soap, thanks to Purex Insiders. Having two little ones, I go through quite a lot of body wash. The fun thing is, in this house my husband and I have a stand up shower only. Both kids LOVE to take showers now so this wash is just what I need.

The Dial Body Wash is great from head to toe! I found it lathers well and works on my daughter's long hair just as good as it does me son's short hair. The wash is fragrance free so no worries with the smell. I noticed the suds first! That is how I judge if it is a quality wash. Most washes that are not good quality, will not suds up so you don't know if you are getting clean - just my opinion! LOL The second thing for me with kids, is that is doesn't cause breakouts or dry skin. I am happy to say that we had a great experience with this and no reactions. I love how it cleaned the kids and is all-in-one.

The Foaming Hand Wash is perfect for their bathroom. They LOVE the foam and the pump is easy for both to use. The scent is nice and it cleans their hands very well! Again, it doesn't dry the kids skin out with continued use (and I mean continued) and we had no reaction to it. The kids LOVE this stuff....probably a little too much. They tend to go overboard on the soap.

I am definitely impressed with these two Dial products and will be purchasing more in the future.

Thank you Purex for the opportunity to try these!

TO find these, look at your local retailer or go to http://www.dialsoap.com/line/dial-for-kids for more information!

*I received these free as part of Purex Insiders to review and blog in exchange for my opinions.
